Job Title: Quality Engineer
Summary
Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality control and quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
Assists in the development of work station control sheets, PFMEA, control plans and other related documentation.
Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
Utilize quality assurance processes such as PPAP to insure the customer quality expectations are met on a daily basis.
Familiarity with ISO9001 and Six Sigma.
Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Statistical analyses and skills is a must.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Job Title: Applications Engineer
Summary Provides technical support for all product lines to external and internal customers by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists engineering personnel in the fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, determining methods, procedures and conditions for testing products.
Provides support to sales/marketing staff for the promotion and sale of existing and new products.
Draw up or propose changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services which would result in cost reduction or improvement in operations.
Travel to customer locations to assist in product installation and training.
Provides technical services to clients relating to use, operation and maintenance of equipment.
Provides technical training for internal and external customers as needed.
Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
Directs and assists with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.
Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
