THE MEDALLION HERITAGE
Established in 1967 by a boater and outdoor enthusiast, Medallion enjoys deep roots and name recognition in both the marine industry and the community. Since its inception it has operated continuously in the resort community of Spring Lake, Michigan, located about 30 minutes west of Grand Rapids near the beautiful beaches of Lake Michigan. As the company grew and expanded into additional markets, it operated for many years as a subsidiary of publicly traded companies. Returning to private ownership, and to its historical name, in 2003, the company retained its two strong brand names—Medallion and Kysor.
Substantial shareholder reinvestment into Medallion since 2003 brought some of the world’s most advanced manufacturing equipment and processes to the company. Aggressive new product development programs were launched, making Medallion an industry leader in cutting edge instrumentation solutions. Flying the ISO 9001-2000 flag and operating in a contemporary 80,000 ft2 facility, Medallion combines its small company atmosphere with a vibrant entrepreneurial spirit to transform yesterday’s traditions into its vision for tomorrow.
