The only BRP approved Touch Screen LCD helm display for Rotax Jet Propulsion Systems.
The only BRP approved Touch Screen LCD helm display for Rotax Jet Propulsion Systems.
Medallion partnered with BRP to develop a Rotax Jet Propulsion System instrumentation user experience that would take this market segment to the next level. The resulting system remains the only certified BRP Rotax Jet Propulsion System helm display on the market today. OEM’s adopting the Rotax Jet Propulsion System following BRP’s exit from boat manufacturing have benefited from a fully developed and approved system available to them. The system is fully integrated with Jensen and Polk stereo system brands manufactured by ASA Electronics. Navionics charts are native to the user interface utilizing an on-board SD card for the regional data. The incredibly bright 6.5” touch screen has a chemically strengthened glass touch surface with anti-reflective coating. The integrated system controller receives NMEA engine data and presents the information in a fun and intuitive visual design. The controller also processes inputs from analog and digital devices, and commands the peripheral gauges. Building on the innovative Viper II platform launched in the wake sports segment, Medallion is launching new systems featuring a standalone 7” Touch Screen LCD, a standalone 12.3” Touch Screen LCD, and a combination System of the two LCD's for the ultimate user experience. The systems display engine gauges, Navionics charts, Prospec Electronics black-box stereo head unit control, and a standard arrangement of 10 configurable multiplexed switch loads distributed by the Medallion 10-Channel Power Module.
The standard visual design is available to all builders, but can be customized to provide an appearance cohesive with the brand persona and needs of individual OEM’s. The Viper II System Controller can be integrated with the 7” display or part of a distributed architecture with standalone displays connected via simple CAT6 Ethernet type LVDS cables. The screens are the same technology used premium automobiles and clearly visible in direct sunlight. The capacitive touch screen is constructed of chemically strengthened glass and enhanced with an advanced anti-reflective coating technology that will never fog over. The Viper II is equipped with GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, two USB ports and two SD card slots. The IPS displays provide a viewing angle found on the latest cell phones making them easy to see from any position near the helm.
